ISPP Will not use hotadd, only nbdssl

Hi,

I am testing ISPP, with fairly small VMware environment, with SAN data stores.
Everything is quite basic, one ISPP 10.1.2 server with all components in it.
I have noticed that it will only work backup over nbdssl transport. Not sure why it does not try hotadd, or if there is a way for me to force it?

The HotAdd transport mode is not supported on physical VADP proxies.

Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
It is not my case. As I've already wrote, it is really basic setup, so VADP and vSnap are both on same virtual appliance along with ISPP itself.
Some other thoughts?

Have you set hotadd correctly? Got the latest software version?

If you did and have the latest version, open a support case with IBM - we POC'd SPP and found the same: no hotadd.

We got a patch for this

I do not know how to "set hotadd correctly", since I am unaware of any related settings in the product. Can you point me to documentation where it has been explained?
I am on 10.1.2.209. I see now there is another fixpack since then. I will try, and check if it helps.
Then I will go with support case, as advised.

Ok, I have updated my ISPP to 10.1.2.247, no help.
I have opened case with IBM, and got this:

This helped. Also, take care that the command at the end (dracut) should be modified to mach your kernel version.
