I inherited the support functions of an HDS 9960 - a relic that I would like to burn to the ground. We are an EMC shop and this thing is a real thorn in our sides. I have been ignoring it for months and now need to provision against it...trying to sort out lun naming convention with INQ on the host. INQ has a -hds_wwn option, which gives this output:
/dev/vx/rdmp/c2t25d161s2 40309 4849544143484920523430303944373530323545 R400
Does anyone have an idea of how to decipher that string of numbers? How about a Hitachi-based product that would provide the same type of info?
Sorry for the off-topic question. I am pretty desperate for some assistance here...
Thank you
