IBM 3581 Audit Library with Cleaning Tapes Checked In

I'm using a 3581 with 7 slots in it, 2 slots have cleaning tapes. I am trying to run an audit of the library and everytime it gets to the cleaning tape the audit fails saying it cannot read the volume information. I don't have a barcode reader. Any ideas on how to run an audit with a cleaning tape in the library?

try running audit library without those cleaning tapes in libarary and checkin cleaning catridge later on.
