HSM Reporting

Does anyone know how to track the recall process. I have an AIX client that has several filesystems that are using HSM. Each customer has their own filesystem. I need to keep track of how much each filesystem recalls so that I can track how much each customer uses.



Any ideas are appreciated.

As far as I understand the problem: I think, that there's only a little chance to get all information you need. But you can enable the account log on the hsm server and look for the recall information that's provided there. I think, you won't get the information for each file system, but for each user.

we're tracking recall counts and amounts per filespace by periodically checking "ddf" (once a minute). Any change in "premigrated files" and "premigrated capacity" quantifies recalls, since we do not use selective premigration. This is pretty accurate (unless you run automigration during work hours and have a really full filesystem ).
