Hi all,
I tried to set up the old administrative interface on tsm 5.5 but got problems. I know that ibm now use isc to mange tsm servers and I think it is better if I can have the old one working at the same time as I have already set up the isc, not problem. But I think the old one is quicker and straight forward for checking some stuff on the tsm server like activity log. I am sure the old admin web ui can be running on tsm 5.5 but when I start dsmserv, I still can not access it on http://backup:1580
Here are things I have set in the dsmserv.opt
*** IBM TSM Server options file
*** Refer to dsmserv.opt.smp for other options
COMMMETHOD TCPIP
commmethod http
TCPPORT 1500
httpport 1580
BUFPOOLSIZE 10000
SELFTUNEBUFPOOLSIZE YES
DEVCONFIG devcnfg.out
also, I have follow the instruction on how to set it up for linux
unpack webhelp, webimages and .idl files to the directories
webhelp to /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/webhelp
webimages to /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/webimages
.idl to /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin
then run
./dsmserv runfile linux.idl
and I got the right output

Then I start the deamon /etc/init.d/dsmserv start
I can see that dsmserv is listening on port 1580
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:1580 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 23614/dsmserv
but when I try to access http://backup:1580 and I got the error

I dont know if I miss something. Anyidea to fix this problem and get the admin web ui working? Thanks a lot.
