How to limit the reclamation process on VTL

Hi All,

I am trying to limit space Reclamation process to 2 ie.. I don’t want more than two reclaim process running at the same time.

Is there any way to do this. Please let me know.

RECLAIMPROCESS parameter is set to 3 but i can see 5 to 6 processes running simultaniously, Is there something i need to check ?

With any sequential media (even with VTL) the reclaim process uses two drives per process. So if you have it set to 3 then up to 6 drives can be in use to reclaim tapes.

If you want no more than 2 DRIVES to be in use for reclamation then set the RECLAIMPROCESS to 1
