How to determine when a copy was made for a file space?

Is there a reasonable method for determining the date/time that the copy was made, for the first-time backup of a specific file space, from the primary to the copy pool?

Also, how do I get the dates/times for the first-time backup in the primary pool? Do I simply go to the client and run dsmc? Or do I have to look through older client logs?
