How do i move a tsm instance to new hardware and server name

I have a TSM server that needs to move to new hardware and thus it will get a new server name as well.

These are windows 2008 servers.

Can I simply physically move the database and config files to the new server and recover the database?

Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

Easy with Unix based systems - you can just forklift it.

I suggest you do database restore similar to want you would do during DR. The physical server name is not that important - the TSM server name is. Are you keeping the same TSM server name?
