Good afternoon,
Excuse my ignorance, this is the first time I am going to install an Oracle TDP (8.1.9).
I was reviewing the official documentation and it is more or less clear to me the integration with the RMAN.
On the other hand and from what I was reading, it would also be necessary a catalog server to keep synchronized the versions of the RMAN and TSM, is it correct?
Please, could you tell me where I could find more detailed (or better, more global) information about the best practices to take those backups.
And finally..., please consult..., apart from the benefit of the "direct" restoration that I would achieve with the TDPO (even with all its extra configuration), which I could also do with the BA after the RMAN backup, what benefits would it have?
Thank you very much for your time.
Best regards.
