HANA 2.0 performance issues

We are using ERP 8.1.6 with BA client 8.1.9 to backup HANA 2.0 DB which is around 12tb.
We have noticed some serious performance issues and slow downs at around 55-60% completion, it goes from needing about 10 mins per 5% to about one hour per 5%. It was moved to lanfree backups which cut down the time from 18 hours to 13 hours which is still very long time

Anyone ever experienced behaviour like this? HANA 1.0 worked fine without these issues.
