GSKit error after OS upgrade

A couple of months ago, we upgraded our TSM servers to 7.1.9.0 (from 6.3.6.100). The OS at the time was RHEL 6.10. A couple of days ago, we moved one of our servers to a new RHEL 7.4 guest. Everything seems to be working well except for a small handful of clients that are throwing this error:

ANS1029E Communication with the IBM Spectrum Protect server is lost.
ANS1579E GSKit function gsk_get_last_validation_error failed with 575051: GSKVAL_ERROR_CA_MISSING_CRITICAL_BASIC_CONSTRAINT

What is causing this? And more importantly, how do I fix it?
