We have a problem with two new servers (2 p595s), where 2 partitions will have to go to RAC with GPFS.
Our configuration is with AIX 5.2, HACMP 5.2 and GPFS 2.3.
The installation of the Client TSM for GPFS v5.2.3 asks for the fileset mmfs.gpfs.rte 1.5.0.0 and that the new Client 5.3.0 ask for the fileset mmfs.gpfs.rte 2.2.1.2
I have required if it exists a PTF of the actual clients that implements the support for GPFS 2.3 or the implementation is foreseen only with following versions (es. 5.3.1).
The standard client 5.2.3 work together with the mmbackup of the GPFS but it have some strong limitations (for what I have been able to see) because it saves for Device and it doesn't seem possible, in phase of restore, to recall a single file.
Can someone give me further information?
