Flat File backup error

Hi,
I am facing issue with the file server backup. We are trying to take full backup for file server from schedule having OS windows 2012 r2 getting errors like below. File server data size is 1.2 TB & was previously completing in 4days, which is now taking 18-20 days. We have other application servers also whose backup is running fine.

read error on '\\filesrv000\f$\ABCProj\Proj\Accounts\06-07\closing 06-07\xxxxx RECO.xls'. The file
is skipped. (SESSION: 1761)
For this we have done below things
1 Checked the Antivirus status & restarted the server at OS level.
2 Updated Tape library & Drive firmware along with drivers & firmware for TSM server.

We are now stopped the scheduled backup & started Manual backup with BA client still showing hundreds of files with error. Speed is drastically gone down. Kindly help.
TSM server OS: Windows 2008 R2 x64
TSM server Version:6.4
TSM BA client:6.4.2.0

If there are multiple read errors on these files, you should try opening those files, for example, use Excel to open the file in the error you showed.

If the disk has problems, it can slow down the read performance. Check the Event Viewer for disk errors and possibly schedule a CHKDSK, but it could take a while on a disk that big. Maybe run it online first in check only mode to see if there are any problems with it or not.

Other than that, hard to identify a potential bottleneck with the information given, you'd need to run a client instrumentation trace to isolate the bottleneck.
