Hi Team,
We are having file server on Windows 2012 with 4.5TB size on which we found below errors while taking Incremental backup. We initially suspected file corruptions so taken individual path Incremental backup found no errors so far. But when we take full path, getting errors below.

06/01/2021 02:40:06 ANS9999E ..\..\common\winnt\ntrc.cpp(765): Received Win32 RC 1058 (0x00000422) from RawEfsOpen(): OpenEncryptedFileRaw. Error desription: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

We also removed VSS backup option from TSM BA client but it does not gives results. Kindly help

Are the files in question encrypted? Does it have access to it?

Try dsmc i <path> -serviceflags=detail -tracefile=c:\temp\log.txt and see if something looks weird.
Also, the windows log may give more details.

Hi,

u could try testflag CONTINUEWITHUNKNOWNRC:1058 in your dsm.opt file

the client might continue and write more errors to the logs. This is also helpful if you have a virus file which is not access able anymore. The client stops and tells nothing. ( in that virus case :255 instead of 1058)
