Failing SP for VE VM backups

Hi all

i am trying to figure out why a few VM's are failing their Sp for VE backups. I am consistently seeing a couple VM's failing with the following errors
ANS9365E VMWare vStorage API error for virtual machine "vm"
Createsnapshot_USCORETask
..\..\common\vm\vmvisdk.cpp
API return code 2248
API error: an error occured while saving the snapshot: failed to quiesce the VM
ANS4067E snapshot operation attempt 2 of 2 for the guest vm failed using VMware Tools Snapshot
ANS4174E Full VM backup of VMWare Virtual Machine "vm" failed with RC=4379


I have tried doing a full vm backup again, no go, the VMWare administrator is able to take a vCenter Snapshot without any issues (tested VMWare snapshot from vCenter on the 3 VM's not working, it worked outside of SP for VE)

Any ideas on what may be going on? i am not finding much on google referencing this combonation of errors being displayed

I think i found a way around. I added a 2,1 tag to the VM's in question. this will attempt 2 quiesced snapshots, and if that fails, performs a crash consistent snapshot as the last option.
