Hi,

TSM Version 6, Release 2
ODRAS Version 8.5
5TB Data

Is there anyway to just export/dump all the data out of TSM and basically place it in ODRAS Cache system maybe for access
Or any other suggestions what to do with it, like dumping the data and indexes to storage for another retrieval method

Reason:
If customer or Audit finds something missing we need a method to retrieve from past system

We have upgraded to CMOD 10+ and upgraded TSM to almost latest version now
Migrated all date ( via export / import process )
Should mention we went from LINUX systems to Windows
Problem is now we don't want to take a chance that anything is missing especially during audit or needed past customer search
I already found possible corruption of data from the export/import process
So impossible to guarantee everything is there and available

We can maintain the old system, but then versions are outdated and not supported
Be nice to get rid of the old LINUX system also, and put things on Windows
( Not me, company direction )

Thanks

Not export but a restore with the ODRAS as your repository (I am assuming ODRAS is a storage device?).

What I believe you can do is standup a server, make the server talk with TSM and do a restore to that server. Of course, you have to create multiple node names on the server for ALL restores to happen and likewise partition properly ODRAS for holding the data.

Tedious way to proving data exist.

Thanks, I was just reading some on that and will have to play around with our DEV box.

I'll start another post if needing more information maybe
