Hi Pro's

I have a question regarding NDMP backup. I backup a Netapp volume snapshot of the size 4921GB via NDMP. I have virtualfilespaces and my datamover set up. Some volumes backup much more data to the storage pool than the actual size of the volume. How is this possible? Can anyone explain?

Df -h size of volume in netapp:
Filesystem total used avail capacity Mounted on
/vol/myvfiler4647_vol1/ 8192GB 4921GB 2052GB 75% /vol/myvfiler4647_vol1/
/vol/myvfiler4647_vol1/.snapshot 0GB 162GB 0GB ---% /vol/myvfiler4647_vol1/.snapshot

TSM virtualfs path:

How is this possible?
