ESL G3's Security password is lost

Dear All,

Is there anyway to recover the Security credentials for ESL G3 Library. We were advised to factory reset the library by HPE, but this would lead to data loss.

Have anyone came across this situation and please share if there's a way out there to recover the same

I am not expert on HPE libraries.

Are your tapes encypted? And if so, who is doing the encryption?

Sorry for the delay.. Yes, tapes are encrypted with external ESKM device (don't have security password for this too).

Hi,
If you still have access to tapes, you can maybe make a new library with unencrypted tapes, and migrate data over.
