Error message "ANS1051E Invalid password"

I am new to adsm / tsm so please bear with me



I am getting an error massage "ANS1051E Invalid password" when I try to log in to my tsm server (windows). The old TSM administrator left with him went the admin user password. I have taken over with minimal knowledge of the application and would greatly appriciate any help that could be thrown my way.



I need to beable to login as the admin to register new node

admin admin is an alltime favourite. If that doesn't work, stop the server, start it form the commandline using "dsmserv". That starts the server in the foreground with a prompt. You can register a new admin right there, using "reg admin youradminname youradminpw passe=0". The passe=0 means the password never expires. Then grant system authority using "grant auth youradminname cl=system". Stop the server using "halt", restart the server service - and there you are.
