Hi All!!

Welll, I'm having a lottle of trouble getting up my TSM Server, there was a disconection on the SAN Disk that has the Database Files.

The disk is connected again and I can see the database log and all, but, during the server start up, the following appears:

Mmmm, looks corrupted, the problem is that there is no Database Backup (on the volhist.out I already checked not a single volume, nothing!)

I'd be really grateful if you could help me a little bit here,

Best Regards.

Without the backup, it might not be possible to bring your TSM server up.

Are you regularly doing DB backups? To tape? Others?

ANR7837S Internal error DBLOG666 detected.

The above message is an indication of a corruption.

Solution: Restore the database from the most recent backup or PIT.

...there is no Database Backup...

Since we do not have a backup of the database.
Can do a Dump/Load/Audit of the database.
NOTE: The dump/load/audit is not to be taken lightly.
If there is a problem during the load or audit, the solution is to restore the most recent backup of the database. Since there is no database backup, there is not much you can do but to reformat the database and start over.
A full database audit can run for several hours.
As a general rule of thumb, a full database audit takes about 3 hours per million pages, and a 4 GB utilized database holds about a million pages. The actual times will mostly depend on the processing power of your server.

Good Luck,
Sias

I got involved in the case and, as far as I can tell, this server is not being backed up

There is the backup of the library manager, but this server nah.

Yeah I'll need luck the database is 522 GB.

I had the hope that there was no corruption. And I did a Dump/Load/Audit a long time ago It was awful, It worked but it was awful, I think it can be done, I can see the files, all the logs and db files.

Let's find the coffee It'll be a long week indeed.

Thanks for the Replies.
