We got a new Equallogic FS7610 NAS. The old system has front server (Win2003 Storage server) + tsm ba-client. The technician who built up the new system said that i can take backups by mapping the NAS cifs rootshare (\\nas\c$\container_name) to some other server and use tsm client or directly by NDMP. Is there any recommendations which way I should take backups?
How about the old backups? Are there any way I can use them cause there are many terabytes data on tapes?
