Hello All,
I have been reading about encryption and I have a few questions.
We don't neccessarily want to encrypt the data that is being backed up and/or archived every day. Once a month, we export the data (using EXPORT NODE) that has been archived from a server into a tape and send it off to another location for importing (IMPORT NODE)
We would like to be able to somehow have the data on that tape encrypted. I noticed the following on the EXPORT NODE command :
ENCryptionstrength
But reading at the description it does not seem like it would be for encryting all of the exported data (filespaces).
Any other way I could accomplish this?
If I cannot find a way to do it with the EXPORT NODE command, I was wondering if there is anyway to add the encryption options to the command line instead of to the dsm.sys since I don't want to encrypt all of the time but only one time when I need to do the export.
Thanks in advance,
BV
