Hi all,

drive is unavailable from OS end, after reboot the drive was visible again and disappeared again.

Please suggest

What OS are you running? AIX, Linux, Windows?
Are these on SAN or other connectivity?
Are these IBM tape drives or other? If IBM are you using IBM tape drivers?
What does your error logs, event viewer, journalctl show?
Again, if using ibm tape drivers, what does the atape.<device>.trace files show? (At least on AIX)
If SAN, any errors on the fabric for your ports for both server and tape?
Any adapter errors on your HBA's in your server?
And errors logged in your library?

Hi its windows OS and its SAN connectivity. Its a Tape drives. As said the drive is not visible from OS end for some reason and when TSM server tries to access the drive then it throws I/O error while accessing the drive. No errors logged in library .

Any logs as requested above would be helpful, along with OS version. Tape drive type/make/model/manufacture.
What make/model of HBA adapters are you using? Have you used the appropriate vendor utility for your HBA's to view san connectivity? For example qlogic SANsurfer?
Also, have you followed the basic troubleshooting steps as outlined here?
