First of all, I am new to this software, and the whole backup-program scene, so please do be patient with me.
On my new job, we are using Data Protector to backup our Sun Open Storage 7410 storage.
And now we have bought a new tape library from Storage Tek, we decided to get a SL 500 (with two LTO-4 drives), which is supported by Data Protector.
The library itself is connected with network/ethernet to our network, and that's the only connection it has to our servers.
My problem is that I can't manage to add the tape library in Data Protector, i don't know how to get Data Protector to control the library.
I have installed the drives supplied by SUN on the server, and that gives me the option to add a "Storage Tek ACS Library". But that doesn't really help me, since i've understood that i need some ACS-software that I don't have.
So how do i do, and what else do I need?
