Domino TDP Retention Issue?

Hello,
I am performing daily TDP backups of my Domino mail server. My retention states 31 days. When I perform a restore, I select 'both active and inactive'. I expect to see 31 versions. However, I only see the two latest backups. Am I using incorrect retention values, or am I missing some other parameter?

VEREXIST=2. Does this mean that even though I have a retention of 31, I am only keeping 2 versions? If so then I should increase VEREXIST to 31.

Correct. Or even no-limit, depends on your requirements. If you want to be able to restore the last 31 days, should put verexist to nolimit. If verexists is set to 31 and one day you do 2 backups, you can only go back 30 days because your 31 versions were taken in 30 days.
