Does anyone have any successfull steps for migrating to TSM 5.4

Does anyone have any successfull steps for migrating to TSM 5.4 on Aix v5.2. My current version of TSM is 5.2.

I do. Send me your email address. I have them in an Excel format which won't copy well here. I just upgraded about 1-2 months ago and it went real smooth. (Note, that we are running AIX v5.3)

It's only for the upgrade part, you should double check all your firmware, atape drivers, etc.

You should if at all possible upgrade your AIX version as well as AIX 5.2 will go out of support Sept. 30, 2008.

What I have done in the past:

perform a full DB Backup
backup devconfig
backup volhist
record all paths/devices/serial numbers of all devices
upgrade AIX
upgrade atape & atldd
upgrade TSM (can take time, smitty will auto-upgrade the TSM DB for you)
IF TSM db did not upgrade (performing an upgrade from too different of versions) you should start the TSM db in the foreground with the command "dsmserv upgrade db"
start TSM in foreground with schedules and expiration disabled.
verify paths/devices/serial numbers to all devices
shutdown TSM and restart in background. (sessions and expiration enabled)
