This is on 8.1.3, Linux 7. Using dsmcad. Does a change to dsm.sys always require that the client first be stopped, or does it depend on the change? What about the .opt file?

Hi,

dsmcad will stop/start dsmc schedule. dsm.sys/opt will be read each time. So for most of your settings that does not involve basic comminications (tcps tcpp and so on) you are fine.

If basic settings like above is changed, then dsmcad must/should be restarted.
