We have 2 TS3310 libraries, both setup to use library managed encryption (LME) and 2 TKLM servers.
The libraries and TKLM servers are split across sites.
For cost reasons it was decided that they don't want to pay for the TKLM licenses any more.
As far as I have gathered if you change from LME to no encryption you won't be able to read your encrypted tapes any more.
Has anyone gone through the exercise of moving off or away from encryption on your tape library?

The best solution I have come up with so far was the following:
- The remote library is a copy of the local library. (local pool and offsite copypool)
- Disable LME on the local library.
- Delete all the tapes from the local storagepool
- Relabel them
- Copy data back from offsite copy pool back to local one.
- This should leave me with unencrypted local tapes.
- Repeat the process the other way.
- Remove TKLM servers

Is this the easiest way to do it?

Advice and thoughts are much appreciated.
