Directory exclude from incremental and archive

Hi All,

I wanted to exclude the directory /PROD/APP/wrk_area from daily incremental and weekly archive. I gave the below statements in dsm.sys , but it only exclude the directory from incremental and not from archive. Can you please advise what I am missing here ....

DOMAIN /PROD
exclude.dir /PROD/APP/wrk_area
exclude.archive /PROD/APP/wrk_area

Hi Frank,

Exclude.dir only works with backups, not archives. It will exclude the directory specified and all it's content.

Exclude.archive as the name implies works for archives, however it only excludes files, not the actual directory, so while the files won't be archived, the directory tree will. And the syntax should be:

exclude.archive /PROD/APP/wrk_area/.../*
