Different file to backup for every client

hi,

i'm lil bit confused, i've a problem supposed i've two client TSM and each one of them have a different type file to backed up, also the file must be backed up to the same tape. in your opinion what should I set up ?

"different type file" ... don't know what you mean
In case you want to schedule backups with different paths, you'll need to set up two different schedules on tsm server. To have data from both the clients on to the same tape, you'll need to set collocation off.

I honestly do not know if this will help you, but it is always worthy a try

"different type file", i mean that the client A only backup the .xls file but the client b backed up only the*.doc file type ...

That is beginner stuff. Use different include/excludes on each node - either in the dsm.opt file or have 2 optionsets.

Hi,

Create a separate collocation group and add both the client to that group.

So that your second request will be solved(also the file must be backed up to the same tape).
