Delete file on client server after it´s been backed up?

Hi,

Is it possible for Spectrum Protect to delete a file from the client server after it´s been backed up?
We have one server that is performing db dumps (old database component) to local disk. Spectrum Protect then takes a backup of the db dump. The problem is that the db dump doesn't get removed by the database and fills the disk. I know that archiving can do that for but is it also possible through backup? SP 8.1.9

Few ways to do what you want.
Best way I feel would be to use the postschedulecmd: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSEQVQ_8.1.10/client/r_opt_postnschedulecmd.html

Another option is you could have the client scheduler call a script that issues the dsmc command to backup what you want and then have a check to get the status. if status is OK, then delete file. Basically create postschedulecmd.
