How is TSM using tapes when i specify lets say to volumes with the DBBACKUP command.
BA DB DEV=AIT Type=full Vol=ab123,ab124 scratch=no
Is it using the first tape untill it is full, or is it it using the tapes alternatly.
If it uses one tape at the time, then it would be nice becaurse then i can fill one tape week one and checkut this tape and copy tapes on monday ( del volhist type=DBBackup todate=today-6)
Next week I checkout the second tape and copy tapes ( del volhist type=DBBackup todate=today-6) and checkin the first tape plus empty copy tapes.
In this way I can still be able too restore the DB in worst case one week back!!
Is this a possible way to do it ?
