Hi,
i would like to have some informations about the DB2 and TSM relationship in order to make training slides. It's quiet hard to find général informations
Could you confirm or not this point:
- DB2 is used to store all TSM logs, backup errors...
- DB2 stored the informations about databases backup for recovery (instances, classes...)
- TSM used DB2 as an intermediate backup support before push the data to the tape
If any other informations aren't precised here, could you explain me the point i didn't note in my long research ?
PS: i read the ibm website, the redbooks, but i can't find a description of the base's role.
