DB2 Restore Failure

We were doing a DB2 restore this weekend when we received a tape error. Turns out the backup was bad, but what I was wondering, if the restore has an error how soon must you issue the db2 restore ... continue command before the DB gives you this error?

PRODDB2-08:db2cnq 20> db2 restore db CRP continue
SQL2008N The callerac parameter is not within valid range or the requested
action is out of sequence.

are you using the redirect restore??

It was not a redirected restore. How much does that matter?
