Data Domain Best practice

I have a new DD that is filling pretty quick, I have followed the best practice guide (compression off, encryption off, fileperset=1) but nothing is gettin any better. Any other tunning options to look at for backing up SQL,Exchange,Sharepoint to TSM ? Currently I'm getting about 3.4x compresssion which is pretty bad.

Retention: the longer you retain files, the more you use disk space.

Don't expect big compression ratios with database type files. 3.4X is good.

RELABELSCRATCH can also help, it lets TSM tell the data domain it no longer needs the virtual cart data when it is returned to scratch.
