    Hello,

    I am looking for a new config with 2 Spectrum Protect servers and would like to use the container storagepool concept.

    Since I do not want to rely totally on remote storage pools I want to use local storage as a buffer:

    So I have enough local storage to backup for 3 days.
    After that I would like that data to migrate to remote NFS storage (unlimited space)
    In the conventional way that would be using local filepools that migrate to remote filepools.

    How would that be possible with container pools?

    No it's not. You cannot migrate data out of the container pool.

    You could store your data in local disk or file pools then migrate to a container pool on the remote NFS storage.

    Hi Chad, that looks like an option, but do you know why the help define stg says:

    "NEXTstgpool
    Restrictions:
    * Do not specify a directory-container or cloud-container
    storage pool."

    ?
