Config HSM on AIX (+ TSM client)

HI, I'm trying to understand how configure the variable for HSM (Space Management) and TSM client on AIX.

HSM and TSM work fine but my default variable DSM_DIR is /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/hsm/bin (HSM folder) and I want another solution.....

When AIX boot: I change the variable for root user
I put this on /etc/environment
DSM_DIR=/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/hsm/bin
(--> node special HSM) because the HSM deamon wont to work if the variable is wrong....

but when (with root user) I want use dsmc client ( or in my backup script) , I must alway change the variable:
DSM_DIR=/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin64
DSM_CONFIG=/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin64/dsm.opt
DSM_LOG=/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin64
export DSM_DIR DSM_CONFIG DSM_LOG (--> node normal client AIX files : dsmc) to backup files..

there is a better way ? why is so complicated on AIX to use HSM and TSM client on same partition....
