Change password for BA Client encryption key

Is it possible to change password for client encryption key from time to time?
Lets say I have saved it first time when I started backup operation and I have "encryptkey save" option in dsm.opt file.
I would like to change the password for the encryption key (knowing old one) after some time, but to still be able to do restore of files previously backed up.

You have to use the same key for the restore as was used during the backup. So if you change the key today, you will be able to restore data backed up after today using the new key, before today will require the old key.
