Looks like the log is corrupt. Did you have it mirrored? If not and it's Windows you probably need to restore the DB to recover the server. If it's AIX you can try a couple things to see if the data was actually lost or it's a filesystem issue.

Thanks for your answers!

OS: Windows Server 2003 R2

Windows Event Viewer -> Application: Source: ADMSServer - A TSM Server has been successfully started.

When i try to enter with my username in TSM CMD and TSM CONSOLE MESSAGES:

ANS1017E Session rejected: TCP/IP connection failure
ANS8023E Unable to establish session with server.

ANS8002I Highest return code was -50.

The Server stoped working on 17.08 and Daily Report shows the same message.

Can you tell me where to see the other error messages ?

Can you give me some advice ?

Check if the volume A00094L3 is available in the library ARMLIB. try to mount it manually.

is it running on a cluster?

had something quite similar.
when doing a restore db command the tsm started with hardware ip instead of tsm package ip.
thats why it could not get the tape.

setting hla=hardwareip on the library manager solved it.

How can I see which tapes contain backups ?

In Volhist.out only A00094L3 is presented like BACKUPFULL.

Hi,

when using "dsmserv restore db", you are running "rollforward" restore - so the DB is restored and existing recovery log is applied - as your log seems to be corrupted, it is not what you want.
You need to run point-in-time restore using:
"dsmserv restore db todate=XYZ"
You lose ALL the transactions made after the last DB backup as the recovery log will be formatted during the process.

Hope it helps

Harry

Big thanks to Harry!

Your solution worked like a charm. Thank you!

Thanks to all!!!
