Hello,

since the password of the TSM4VE TSM-User has been changed (with update admin <Username> <password> on the TSM-Server where TSM4VE is running) I can't open the TSM4VE Restore GUI (https://<SERVERNAME>:9081/TsmVMwareUI). This is also where the configuration-wizard for TSM4VE can be opened by checking the box "Configuration mode" at the logon screen.
There is no error, the browser just can't reach the site until it runs in a timeout. This happens from everywhere in the network, also on the server where tsm is running.

I tried to reset the password on:
  • The Domain User used for the vcenter plugin
  • The TSM-Admin
  • The TSM4VE User (by dsmc set password -type=vm <vcenter-server> <DOMAIN\USER> <PASSWORD>)
..so that the password is everywhere the same.

Also the vcenter-plugin does not work, it does not even show the configuration infos:

I can't re-register the plugin because I can't access the configuration-utility.

The scheduled VM-Backups on the other hand are running just fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards

What is the version of the TSM4VE and os that its hosted on?

Are there any error message in the dsmwebcl.log?
If the TSM4VE is hosted on Linux, in opt/tivoli/tsm/tdpvmware/common/logs are there any hints?

On the TSM Server, in the actlog are there any errors regarding the TSM4VE?

Good Luck,
Sias

Thank you for your reply.

TSM4VE is version 8.1.11 running on Win Server2016

There are no errors in the actlog, no errors in \baclient

TSM and backups show no problems, also file-restore with recovery-agent works fine. only the tsm4ve UI (and configuration utility) are unreachable.

Are the results the same with different browsers?

I'm suspecting that we also checked - vcsplugin.log, vCenter log.

In the Window os event log, any hints?

Good Luck,

-SOLVED-

Hello

Problem has been solved.
I had to reset the used Ports in \veProfile\bootstrap.properties and restart the webserver, as described here: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/IT10578

After I did this, I was able to open the tsm4ve UI.

Thank you for your help and have a nice day!
