Can an NDMP backup be split up ?

Hello, We are having an issue backing up a file server that has grown very large recently. Neither the DIFF or FULL backups will complete. Can we backup specific parts of an existing file server ?

Here is an example of our usual backup command:

backup node clusterA /SVM_NAS_B/FSABC123 TOC=YES mode=full wait=no

Can I change that to do a backup of folders like /bps_pro or /dotnet ?

Yes you can as long as you have separate filesystem names for the target folders.
