Hello,
Some of the user home directories are being moved to a new name. The new home directory has only the stub files and the original file is on the tape. My assumption is that, dsmreconsile expires the original files as soon as it finds that the older directory is missing ( it assumes that the directory was deleted). After 30 days all original files get deleted and the user will not be able to recall the file. The backup retention is also 30 days and so they get deleted as well.
Will hsm behave the way i wrote above?? If yes, what is the best way to rename home directories and not have any users affected. If no, could you please let me know on the behavior of hsm, in above scenario.
