Hello,

I have a problem with the stgpool (backuppool). It has filled up and I am not sure why it is not migrating to the tapepool storage.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check you maxscratch value, should be more than Volumes in Use and then check for scratches

There were 64 scratch tapes available, but I went ahead and added another 25 scratch tapes, for a total of 89.

LIBRARY1 LT0236 Private Data 4,431
LIBRARY1 LT0237 Scratch 4,432
LIBRARY1 LT0238 Scratch 4,433
LIBRARY1 LT0239 Scratch 4,434

When I try to query the volume, I get the following:

q vol LT0237
ANR2034E QUERY VOLUME: No match found using this criteria.
ANS8001I Return code 11.

So why do they show up when I do a "q libvol", but searching for a specific scratch volume shows nothing.

It was my maxscratch. I increased that and it is working. Thanks for the help.

Scratch volumes will not be displayed in q v,you need to use q libv for scracthes

Ran into this same issue this morning, did not think to check "Maximum Scratch Volumes Allowed" value first. Increasing that number resolved out issue. Many thanks!
