Backup with status missing

Hi.
I'm quite new with Spectrum Protect.
We are running version 8.1.9

I have a server which is failing with the error Missing.
I've been told that I could change the password - but this have not help.

When I logon to the server I can start the Backup / Restore gui - and enter the new password and do a backup / restore.

Why can't the backup server connect to the client and run a normal backup?

If you are prompted for the password every time you are doing a manual backup, that means it's not saved in the registry.

Make sure you have passwordaccess generate in dsm.opt of your client.
Login with the GUI or CLI, and provide the password when prompted.
Exit the client and go in again. If you are not prompted for the password, you know it's saved.
Restart the client schdeduler, or CAD if using CAD.
