Our backup operators need to be able to initiate a manual backup, occaisional restores, and review logs to determine cause of a backup failure.
What is the best practice for backup operators with regard to security? We have a hybrid Windows/Linux environment running TSM. Our operators are insisting on administrative access to each machine and our security auditors do not like this idea.
