Dear friends,

I had already installed TDP for exchange, i had read the tdp redbook, but it's not exhaustive.

I have 2 questions :

1-I think that I must backup the Active Directory, what's the files that i must backup?

2-What's list of files in the include/exclude files ?,Do you have a sample ?

Thank's a lot.

Best regards.

:)

For Windows 2003 Active Directory, SystemState backup will be sufficient to recover the AD.

If the 2003 server is part of a domain, you must backup the Active Directory on the Domain Controller.

System state components include the following:

v Active Directory (domain controller only)

v Windows Server 2003 system volume

v Certificate Server Database v COM+ database

v Windows Registry

v System and boot files

Restoring system state in a situation other than system recovery is not recommended. You must have administrative authority to restore System State information.

I am not sure that this is required by the TDP for Exchange, but I will look into it. you can email me at [email protected] if you don't see a post within the next couple of days.
