Backing up files that are being modified

In AIX and Solaris environments, can 'dsmc archive' backup files that are being modified? This weekend we tried to perform a 'dsmc archive' on an Oracle database file that was being modified and TSM responded with 'ANS4037E File <name> changed during processing. File skipped.'

You can backup files being modified, by using the

"shared dynamic", "dynamic" option, under backup copygroup for your management class, but you can not archive files currently being modified, that would make your archive copy inconsistent, and I don't think you would want that.
