When doing a TSM file system backup of the Windows server that hosts Exchange, should I be excluding the folders that hold the Exchange DBs and Logs?
I use TDP for Exchange to backup the Exchange DBs nightly. It seems like backing them up with the TSM Backup/Archive client is redundant and unnecessary... possibly worthless if they can't backup everything if some logs are locked because they're in-use.
I'm just not sure if TDP for Exchange looks at the BAC dsm.opt file at all because it uses it as a proxy server.
Can anyone help answer this for me?
