Auditing of storage pools required after restore

I would like to know what it means "auditing of storage pools required after restore"

As far as I know , when you use Normal mode for your recovery log and you have

to restore a database backup you need to do this kind of auditing.

But what does it mean ? Is it necessary an audit library ? How does it work?

How long is it going to take?
