Hi, I am having this problem with my backup failing to backup a critical folder for a long time. The error message is ANS4047E There is a read error on and ANS1228E Sending of object. Any one who have resolved this please help. many thanks

Hi,
It may be that some files you are trying to read are corrupt.

What OS and type of filesystem?
Client version?
Type of backup using a JFS2 snapshot, VSS ?
Is the data changing at a high rate in this folder? Is it the entire contents of it or select files?

Then as Trident stated, could be dealing with filesystem corruption as well.
